An Important Notice From MSC Cruises: New Embarkation Requirements in Europe Beginning September 15th

September 10, 2021

Dear Valued Travel Advisor,

Thank you for your continued partnership with MSC Cruises. We always look forward to welcoming your clients onboard.

VACCINATION STATUS & TESTING REQUIREMENTS
MSC Cruises continues to stay up-to-date with all CDC and other governmental requirements and restrictions. Since COVID-19 health and safety requirements are everchanging, it’s imperative to check our website at www.msccruisesusa.com/health-and-safety-measures for the latest information related to your particular embarkation date.

Please be advised beginning September 15, 2021, all cruises departing European Ports require all cruise guests (12 years and older) to be fully vaccinated. Accordingly, MSC Cruises requires guests ages 12 and older to present proof of COVID-19 vaccination, with the final dose of their vaccine administered at least 14 days before sailing. Guests will be considered fully vaccinated if they have received their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines (or their single dose, such as the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) at least 14 days prior to the cruise.

All guests must provide documentation of a negative COVID-19 test at the pier.

For fully vaccinated guests the test must be taken within 2 days of departure and the guest is responsible for the test and cost. Fully vaccinated guests must provide either a negative RT-PCR test, negative NAAT or negative antigen test.

For guests not fully vaccinated (ages 2-11) the test must be taken within 3 days of departure and the guest is responsible for the test and cost. Not fully vaccinated guests must provide documentation of a negative RT-PCR test at the pier (antigen test will not be accepted). Please see any port specific embarkation requirements on our Health and Safety page: https://www.msccruisesusa.com/health-and-safety-measures/europe-cruises under the Travel Requirements section.

All bookings are required to purchase a Travel Protection Plan with coverage for COVID-19. If purchased from MSC Cruises, this must be purchased prior to making final payment on your booking. You must either purchase insurance through MSC Cruises or present at the pier documentation of sufficient coverage purchased from another provider, or you will be denied boarding.

Additionally, in compliance with our standard procedure, all guests over 2 years of age will have to complete and test negative with an antigen test at the terminal upon embarkation.

We will continually evaluate these requirements and make updates as local public health standards evolve.

TRAVEL PROTECTION PLAN WITH COVERAGE FOR COVID-19
