Iceland Volcanoes

Truly a land of fire and ice, Iceland is one of the rare places in the world where fire and ice meet. Iceland’s Vatnajökull National Park is home to eight volcanoes located under glaciers. The park’s namesake, the Vatnajökull glacier, is the largest glacier in Iceland, and it’s also the largest glacier by mass in Europe. Within the park, you’ll also discover Dettifoss, which is considered to be the most powerful waterfall in Europe, along the iconic horseshoe-curved cliffs of Ásbyrgi.
