The Dead Sea is a salt lake on Israel’s eastern border with Jordan. To “swim” in the Dead Sea would be like trying to swim in Jell-O. Due to the water’s high salinity, you are almost suspended in the water and will have to do little to no work to stay afloat. If you’re afraid of fish touching your feet in the ocean or lakes, you don’t have to worry about that here. The water is too salty for sea creatures, or plants, to live hence the Dead Sea name.
