Just a short drive from the hub of Miami is Everglades National Park, deemed the third-largest national park in the United States. With all its vast swamps and wetlands, there’s so much to see and explore both on a boat and on foot. While you may not see it all in a day, the Everglades is the perfect place for a day trip. During your trip, you can get a quick overview of the history of the Glades at the Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center, or hike one of the many pre-paved trails in hopes of spotting an American Alligator in its natural habitat. Or if you’re looking for the perfect birds-eye view of the park as a whole, you can make your way to the Pa-Hay-Okee Lookout Tower.
