Due to outdated laws in the United States, any Alaska cruise that sails roundtrip from Seattle Washington must stop in a foreign port. As it so happens, Victoria British Columbia is an excellent choice along the typical sailing route between Seattle and the usual port stops in Alaska. In episode 108 of the vlog from our August 2019 Alaska cruise on the Ovation of the Seas, we’re docked in Victoria British Columbia on a beautiful day to get out and go exploring.
