Grand Canyon


Not far from Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon National Park is an immensely popular attraction along with being a UNESCO World Heritage site. Said to have been carved out by the Colorado River over five million years ago, the Grand Canyon exposes nearly two billion years of Earth’s geological history. The canyon is 277 miles long, 18 miles wide, and in some parts up to one mile deep. The West Rim of the canyon is the closest part to Las Vegas, making it easily reachable on a day trip.
