Hong Kong Flag

Spread the love

The history of Hong Kong can be told through the region’s long and rich history of flag design. The current model is a beautiful white, five-petal bauhinia flower that is centered on a red field. The flower symbolizes harmony, while red is a representation of nationalism for the Chinese people. This flag has only been flown since 1997, and on the island, you will often see it flying beside China’s national flag as Hong Kong is considered a special administrative region of China.
