Patagonia, home to stunning landscapes, exhilarating adventures, and diverse wildlife, is the perfect destination for adventure travelers. The region of Patagonia is split between Chile and Argentina (a quarter sits in Chile and the rest in Argentina). The name Patagonia means “Land of the Big Feet,” as explorer Magellan first laid eyes on this area in 1520 and believed that the natives were giants. There is a wide range of activities to do and see throughout Patagonia such as beautiful wineries, the Alerces National Park, the largest colony of Magellanic penguins, whale watching, and the largest Welsh community (outside of Wales).
