Sake is a trademark Japanese drink. Made from only four main ingredients, rice, yeast, koji, and water, sake is the perfect complement to most Japanese meals. The fermentation process and the alcohol content of sake are actually very similar to that of wine, but with half the acidity, no sulfates, and low levels of histamines. That means no upset stomach, headache, or red cheeks. Like wine, sake can be enjoyed hot or cold, and its flavors range from sweet to extremely dry.
